Visa Services We Provide
Under the Anti-Money Laundering and CounterTerrorist Financing Ordinance (Cap. 615), C&ED regulates MSO licences covering:
- Currency exchange, global remittances, cheque cashing, bill payment duties.
- Applicants must be Hong Kong–registered entities with a valid Business Registration Certificate.
- Fit and Proper Management
- Director(s) and ultimate owners must pass C&ED’s “fit and proper” assessment.
- Premises Approval
- Must secure a local management office (LMO) and a Local Place of Storage (LPS); usage consent from landlord (LPS approval) is mandatory.
- Compliance Framework
- AML/CTF policies, appointment of Compliance Officer (CO) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO); CO/MLRO must be an employee.
- Application Process
- Submit Form 1 with Business Plan and AML/CFT policy; attend interview and remit nonrefundable fees.
- Licence Validity & Renewal
- Generally valid for two years; must renew before expiry. Premises or management changes can affect retention.
